Thursday, January 26, 2012

MONTEGO BAY, St James — PRIME Minister of St Lucia the Honourable Kenny Anthony is expected to be the guest speaker at a celebratory banquet to honour former Jamaican Prime Minister PJ Patterson at the Round Hill Hotel, Hanover on Saturday, February 4.

Close friends of the former prime minister will be hosting the banquet in honour of his 50 years of service to Jamaica, the Third World and the People's National Party (PNP).

Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller, who is also the president of the PNP, will bring greetings on behalf of the party.

According to Planning Committee Chairman, Clayton Morgan, the banquet, promises to be "a good affair".

"Most members of the Parliamentary Group and several of Mr Patterson's former Cabinet colleagues, relatives and friends are expected to be in attendance; a wide cross section of members of Jamaica's landscape is expected to attend," a release from the prominent Montego Bay attorney said.

The release said a citation to Patterson will be done by Beverley Anderson Duncan.

**@Evadney shelter. The people got exactly what they wanted ,'NUTTEN' that,s why they re-elected DK. This might not be posted, but as an ex-comrade I would have to see every dollar from the Iran sugar deal to the Trafigura millions, BEFORE I would recognize PJ in any way. Too much innocent blood has been shed.

Congratulations" Hanoverian P.J. Patterson. All people in attendance please use this opportunity to demand that DK Duncan do some work in Eastern Hanover and do not repeat the disrespect showed to the parish and people from 2007. Hanover needs people to serve the parish, not use the parish to enrich political parties. Take a short trip to Hopewell, look at the market and surroundings, up the hill towards Bethel school look at the roads, a total disgrace. Eastern Hanover needs and demands better.
