Glaze mixture: Bring to boil 2 teaspoons of honey, two tablespoons of water and 1/2 tablespoon of butter. Allow to cool and then brush on the surface of the bun. Serve with sliced cheddar cheese.

Bun Baker Donja Mitchell

I've been baking since... I was 11 years old. I used to assist my mom whenever she was baking, until I started on my own.

I baked my first Easter bun as a teen... It didn't turn out so well as I added too much liquid and it came out looking like a pudding!

I bake because... baking floats my heart! I love baking and I'm passionate about it. Most of all though, I enjoy seeing the happiness on my customers' faces and being the centrepiece of their celebrations

The most challenging part of Easter baking is... measuring every single ingredient accurately. It takes a lot of time and patience.

My Easter buns are special because... I invest a lot of time adding love as my main ingredient.

My must-have Easter bun ingredients... are stout-soaked raisins.
