The JYP Pin of Pride Competition is one of the ways in which the brand will be celebrating Jamaica's 50th year of Independence.

Fans of the Jamaica Yellow Pages Facebook page will have a chance to win 50 'Pins of Pride' from July 27-August 27, 2012 by simply liking the page and following a few simple steps.

"Jamaica Yellow Pages has been providing multiple platforms for businesses to be discovered for more than 54 years through our online, mobile and print platforms. As a proud Jamaican brand we wanted to celebrate this occasion with our consumers by giving away 50 'Pins of Pride' to support the Jamaica 50 One Million Pins initiative and help to restore some of that Jamaican pride in our citizens, stated Alleyne Graham, marketing manager for Jamaica Yellow Pages.

The Pin of Pride was launched by the Jamaica 50 Secretariat as a commemorative label Pin of Pride that symbolises love and respect for country and commitment to the tenets of the National Pledge.

Another element of the company's Jamaica 50 Facebook giveaway will include a photo competition in which fans can submit photos of historical landmarks, Jamaican food and national symbols, for a chance to win great prizes including, Jamaica Yellow Pages gift bags, lunch for two at a traditional Jamaican restaurant and a grand prize of an iPhone 4S courtesy of LIME.

Photos must include the 2012 Jamaica Yellow Pages Directory.

Jamaica Yellow Pages is a part of the regional company Global Directories, which publishes 15 telephone directories across the region. Global Directories is responsible for publishing and printing telephone directories across the region on LIME's behalf.
