Bacchanal JA 2012 launches Future Shock

Tuesday, February 14, 2012

THE 2012 Bacchanal Jamaica season has officially been launched. Knutsford Court Hotel in Kingston hosted specially invited guests, who got the chance to learn more about the Future Shock theme.

The media also got an up close look at this year's costumes, and, of course, enjoyed some of this year's tunes that are sure to add to the high energy of the season.

This season, the revolutionary theme will tie in perfectly with the new venue (Stadium North) which is larger than the Oxford Road Mas Camp venue, and acts as a blank slate from which the theme to come alive.

Although in a larger venue, patrons can expect to see a similar setting of the themed sponsor booths, costume display and more parking facilities at no cost. At the new venue patrons can also look out for amped up security and of course more than enough space to fit the growing number of 'bacchanalists'.

The Mas Camp opens on February 24 for the weekly Friday night fete — which will include band nights with some of the hottest names in soca. Also on the calendar are Socacise starting February 27, Beach J'ouvert at James Bond beach on April 7 and Bacchanal Jouvert at the new Mas Camp on April 13.

Closing the season, is the most anticipated event for the season — Bacchanal Road March, with a new route which will be released soon.
