LUCEA, Hanover — Former champions Lucea FC and Mt Pelier DC qualified for the final of the Hanover Football Association Island Lux Beach Park / Negril and MP Ian Hayles Western Hanover/CDF Major League final after semi-final wins at Watson Taylor Park last weekend.

Chovian Anderson scored a double for Lucea FC on Saturday as they beat Johnson Town FC 5-2, while on Sunday Mt Pelier DC ended Super Star YC's treble quest when they edged them 3-2 in an upset victory.

Super Star YC had won the mid-season and Knockout titles earlier and were favourites to add the Major League title as well.

The title will be decided on Sunday in the final set for Watson Taylor Park, starting at 3:00pm.

On Saturday, Lucea FC outgunned Johnson Town as Anderson scored once in either half while Odane Graham also got a double for Johnson Town FC.

Anderson gave Lucea FC the lead in the 22nd minute and Oshane Kerr doubled the lead in the 31st minute.

Graham pulled one back for Johnson Town in the 36th minute as Lucea FC led 2-1 at the half-time break.

Orlando Bennett made it 3-1 in the 55th minute, and a minute later Anderson completed his brace as Lucea FC raced to a 4-1 lead.

Graham also got his double in the 66th minute, but a goal from Owayne Smith in the 77th minute restored Lucea FC's three-goal margin.

On Sunday, Oliver Bright scored twice, the first and last goals of the game to lead Mt Pelier DC to the final.

Mt Pelier took an early lead when Bright scored in the fifth minute, but Kimani Monroe levelled the scores in the 45th minute, just before the half-time break.

Shavoy Downie restored Mt Pelier DC's lead in the 52nd minute, but once again Super Star YC came back, through Linford Galloway in the 61st minute.

Bright had the last word, however, and scored the winner in the 67th minute.
