A top-of-the-table clash between Central Titans and visitors Northern Panthers at Chedwin Park will highlight this weekend's sixth round of the Jamaica Cricket Association's two-day Super League.

Play is scheduled to start at 10:00 am today.

The Titans, back-to-back defending champions, lead with 11 points, while the Panthers are a point behind in second place in the six-team league table.

In another match, third-place Western Warriors (eight points) welcome last-place Southerns Seals (three points) to Trelawny Multi-purpose Stadium.

At Mona Bowl, Combined Universities and Colleges (CUC) and Eastern Tigers, who are locked in fourth place on six points, are set to square off.

The franchise with most points at the end of the 10-round competition will lift the champions' trophy

During last weekend's fifth-round action, the university team was the only one to gain a positive result, securing first-innings honours in the drawn encounter with the Warriors at Trelawny Multi-purpose Stadium.

Combined Universities and Colleges made 201 before dismissing the Warriors for 137. Batting a second time, CUC could only muster 103 all out, but that gave them a lead of 167 runs.

Needing 168 to pull off a come-from-behind victory, the Warriors struggled to 118-8 before play was called off.

In another match last week, the Seals and the Panthers had to settle for a share of the points after a no-result at French Park.

The Panthers batted first and made 190 all out before the Seals reached 59-2 in their reply.

In the fifth round's other contest, the Eagles and the Titans also endured a no-result. The title-holders were 50 without loss in response to the Eagles' 206-6 declared when play ended at Melbourne Oval.
