The University of the West Indies Football Club (UWI) FC could only manage a dull 1-1 draw against Cavalier Soccer Club in their Red Stripe Premier League match at Stadium East on Sunday.

Anthony Greenland put UWI in front after 18 minutes after they had dominated play from the opening whistle of Referee Veralton Nembhard.

Cavalier, who looked leg weary and got off only two solitary shots at the UWI goal in the first 45 minutes, equalised on the stroke of half-time. Taniel McKenzie's rash tackle in the area was punished with a penalty. Nikoy Christian then converted the spot kick in minute 44 to level the score.

The point kept UWI on 15 points.

With the point, Cavalier moved to 12 points.
