A solid all round performance by the West Indies saw them conquer Australia at the Kensington Oval in Barbados today.

After winning the toss and batting first the Windies posted a total of 160 all out on the back of an attacking half century from opener Dwayne Smith. Smith hit 63 off 54 balls.

The total proved too much for the Aussies  who fell 17 runs short of the target in their allotment of 20 overs.

The West Indies were especially effective in the field despite a dropped chance early in the Australian innings by Johnson Charles in the deep.
