Salmon wins Hydel's second long jump gold

HYDEL High’s Shian Salmon made her mark on the 102nd staging of the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Championships after winning the Class 4 high jump in a new record 1.67m on Friday’s penultimate day of the five day event.

She first equalled Alpha’s Gabriel Foster’s 1.65m set last year before surpassing the old record to join teammate Samara Spencer who won the Class 3 event.

Wolmers Girls Toni Farquharson cleared 1.63m for silver while Zinedine Russell of Alpha won the bronze with 1.61m.
