She's A Maneater won the third staging of the US$115,000 (over $14-million) Diamond Mile — sponsored by the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission and Supreme Ventures Limited — at Caymanas Park on December 2, 2017.

It was a performance which established her superiority over the best on offer. It was a run of sheer dominance.

The showdown racing fans were anticipating between She's A Maneater, the Triple Crown and Superstakes winner, — Choo Choo Blue, the Gold Cup winner, Houdini's Magic, the Invitational Mile winner, along with the rematch with Bigdaddykool, champion stayer, failed to materialise.

It was also expected to be her sternest test to date, but She's A Maneater's amazing acceleration after turning for home brought her victory by six and a half lengths while posting a time of 1:36.4 minutes, just two-fifths of a second slower than the stakes record of 1:36.2 minutes which was done by her stable companion Seeking My Dream, who won the first two Diamond Mile races.

She's A Maneater thus became the first horse, and three-year-old filly at that, to win the Triple Crown, the Superstakes and the Diamond Mile in the same year.

The first half of the race played out as expected, as the speedsters Talented Tony K and Sir Budget went to the front in the early exchanges with Money Magnet and Choo Choo Blue (Robert Halledeen) behind.

However, She's A Maneater, coming out of the number four post, was able to hold position on the inside rails some 12 lengths off the leaders. She's A Maneater (Dane Nelson) then began to round horses navigating the half mile turn before motoring her way five-wide coming off the final bend.

Under the urging of Nelson, She's A Maneater answered the call and powered home effortlessly to win.

Bigdaddykool and Houdini's Magic, who were second and third, respectively, in last year's event, finished in the same positions. The win by She's A Maneater had made it a perfect three-from-three for trainer Wayne DaCosta in the Diamond Mile.
