RACE 1-RESTRICTED ALLOWANCE III (5-YEAR-OLDS&UPNW3/O/T) 1000METRES/5FURLS ROUND

Dr Banner, Top Eagle were the first to show with Blue Moon, My Angel Briannah and Prince Sammo close in. By the time the field approached the home turn it was clear that Blue Moon and Prince Sammo were travelling best. Entering the last 200 metres, Prince Sammo wrested a narrow lead but under a strong and well-balanced ride Blue Moon regained the advantage to score by a head.

RACE 2-RESTRICTED STAKES (THREE-YEAR-OLDS&UPWARDS) 1000METRES/5FURLONGS STRAIGHT

Usually a step slowly away, Nuclear Flight on this occasion did absolutely nothing wrong and made all the running to beat Yaya's Dream by over three lengths.

RACE 3-$550-500,000 CLAIMING (THREE-YEAR-OLDS&UPWARDS) 1600METRES/8FURLONGS

Deal Marker looked particularly well in the post-parade and clearly had her field in trouble with all of 1,200 metres to come. Winter Is Coming pursued unconvincingly and found nothing from the top of the stretch and it was left to Market Force to secure second five lengths behind Deal Marker with the now one-paced Winter Is Coming third.

RACE 4-$180,000 CLAIMING (THREE-YEAR-OLDS&UPWARDS) 1300METRES/6 1/2FURLONGS

Concur led much better opposition convincingly in his previous race, so it was unlikely that there was anything in this line-up to make him uncomfortable. Turned for home pursued by Court Call, Concur ran well from the distance to repel her challenge and won by 1 lengths with Stan Roy third.

RACE 5-MAIDEN SPECIAL WEIGHT (TWO-YEAR-OLDS) 1000METRES/5FURLONGS STRAIGHT

Corazon, based on impressive exercise reports, was sent off the long-odds favourite and showed this field superior class. After disputing the lead with Lady Blue for some 500 metres Corazon sprinted clear from the distance to win by 4 lengths easy.

RACE 6-MAIDEN CONDITION (THREE-YEAR-OLDS) 1600METRES/8FURLONGS

Giaconda led to the 900-metre mark before giving way to the faint-hearted Luminous Power pursued by My Mom Juss travelling strongly. When attacked for the lead in the straight Luminous Power caved in leaving My Mom Juss in the lead. Giaconda started what looked to be a serious challenge entering the last 200 metres but My Mom Juss ran well to secure victory by 1 lengths.

RACE 7-RESTRICTED ALLOWANCE 1V (5-YEAR-OLDS&UP/NW2) 1100METRES/5 1/2FURLONGS

Bloemfontein led for 400 metres before giving way to Mrs Awesome who held a clear lead early in the home straight. Appearing to idle in front and siezing the opportunity Big Paul got on terms 150 metres out and in overtaking drifted left and took the ground of Mrs Awesome who rallied after switching off the rails. Big Paul outlasted the renewed effort of Mrs Awesome by of a length and survived an objection with the majority of the three-panel Operation Stewards ruling in his favour.

RACE 8-OVERNIGHT ALLOWANCE (3-YEAR-OLDS&UPWARDS) 1820METRES/9FURLONGS+25YARDS

Favourite My Elle Belle's rider lost the foothold in his stirrup and was hopelessly behind before regaining his proper posture but still ended fifth by just under seven lengths. Francia's Pride made all the running repelling various challenges over the trip and at the line was 1/2 a length ahead of Supertronics.

RACE 9-46TH CAL'S GOLD CUP GRADE I (3-YEAR-OLDS&UPWARDS) 1400METRES/7FURLONGS

She's A Maneater was a step slowly away in a race where there was certainly no margin for error especially with top weight. Siempre Bueno led Houdini's Magic who held an unconvincing early lead before Will In Charge cruised to the front with 1,100 metres to go. Entering the home straight in command, Will In Charge was pursued at a respectable distance by She's A Maneater who made a gallant effort to defy being over-handicapped but was beaten four lengths while yielding second to Another Bullet.

RACE 10-$350-300,000 CLAIMING (3-YEAR-OLDS&UPWARDS) 1400METRES/7FURLONGS

Foot Soldier led before giving way to Brave Prospect as they approached the turn for home. Cup O Tea went in pursuit of Brave Prospect from early in the stretch drive but could not deliver a challenge and was beaten by 3 lengths with Luana finishing nearly eight lengths back.
