Football matches across the top European leagues will be at fever-pitch levels this weekend with some sumptuous match-ups.

JustBet previews the previously unbeaten Manchester City side who were brutally kicked off the top by an unapologetic Chelsea, after which fans will be treated to the biggest game in English football when 'Super Sunday' serves up the Reds of Liverpool and the Reds of Manchester in what is sure to be a pulsating affair.

Everton continue their run of difficult Premier League away matches with arguably the hardest one of all when they head to the Etihad stadium to face a wounded Man City team who tasted defeat for the first-time last weekend. However, their recent record at Man City's stadium offers them encouragement.

City are aiming to bounce back from their 0-2 loss at Chelsea, which cost them top spot in the table to Everton's neighbours Liverpool and, of course, they still have a 100% home record in the league this season. It was a disappointing defeat for Manchester City as they controlled the majority of the ball but failed to convert their chances which ultimately led to their demise.

On the other side of the coin, Everton enter this match having completed a frustrating 10-day stretch when needing a stoppage-time Lucas Digne free-kick to draw 2-2 at home to Watford, with Gylfi Sigurdsson earlier having missed a penalty. Travelling to Manchester City is one of the hardest tasks in world football for any team with the usually strong City attack bombarding them relentlessly. However, Everton memorably thrashed City on Merseyside 4-0 a couple of seasons ago and have drawn on their last three trips to the Etihad Stadium, hence they will make the trip high on confidence that they can get a result.

The betting tip? Manchester City win.

Now we switch attention to our second game on Sunday (December 16, 2018) , there's a real 'Super Sunday' feel to it but the best of the action looks to have been saved for last as old rivals Liverpool and Manchester United lock horns at Anfield.

Liverpool against Manchester United is the biggest game in English football, and this Sunday should see a fired-up Anfield crowd pushing Liverpool who are flying high and competing for the title this season, while United and Jose Mourinho are struggling for momentum and consistency.

Liverpool stormed to the top of the table when romping to a 4-0 victory at Bournemouth, where Mohamed Salah was back to his scintillating best with a hat-trick. They are now the only unbeaten team left in the league and will be high on confidence when their fierce rivals' heads to town.

In contrast, Manchester United have struggled this season and trail their rivals by 16 points, but they at least rediscovered their scoring touch with an emphatic 4-1 thrashing of struggling Fulham last time out.

The neutrals out there, who are hoping for a goal-fest, won't want to hear that the last two fixtures have ended 0-0, while 4 of the last 5 clashes in all competitions between these sides have ended either 1-1 or 0-0. United fans also know that they are unbeaten in their last 8 league games against Liverpool.

The betting tip? Drawn match.
