THIS year's Burger King sponsored Superstakes Race Day (November 10) is shaping to be a defining one for the trainers and owners' championships.

At the moment in the trainers' section, it is a straight duel between defending champion Wayne DaCosta and Anthony Nunes, who is seeking his first title.

DaCosta leads but Nunes' stables is bubbling at the moment and should any of his (Nunes') charges reap success in the Superstakes itself or any of the other major races (The Sprint, Invitational Mile), on the day then his chance of winning the title is greatly enhanced.

Conversely, if DaCosta strikes then it might be very difficult for Nunes to catch him.

On the owner's side, the competition is between Carlton Watson and Trinidadian Stephan Narinesingh. Both gentlemen will have horses running on Superstakes Day.

The Supreme Racing Guide relives with photos some of the moments from the 2017 Burger King Super Day.
