US secures place in women’s 4x400 relay final

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The US 4x400 women’s team made a statement today clocking 3:22.09 to win Heat 2 of the semi finals.

 The race was a match-up between the two most successful teams in the 4x400m, the US and Russia (3:23:11), with World Indoor champions Great Britain (3:25:05) placing third.

Olympic 400m champion Sanya Richards Ross was rested by the Americans and should compete in the finals.
