FROME, Westmoreland — Former champions Tivoli Gardens snapped a nine-game winless run after edging last-placed Savannah SC 1-0 in their Red Stripe Premier League third-round game at Frome Sports Complex yesterday.
Kemar Flemmings' 60th-minute goal gave the West Kingston-based club the win as they have now won all three games against Savannah this season.
Tivoli Gardens had snapped the promoted team's winning start with a 1-0 win in their first-round meeting, also at Frome. The former champions had won the second-round game at the Edward Seaga Stadium in the second round.
Yesterday's win was the first since Tivoli beat Humble Lion 5-1 in early December, nearly three months ago, and it pushed their points tally to 32 to edge further away from the relegation zone.
