Teddy McCook is in a jovial mood as he accepts his Jamaica 50 Living Legacy Award from Professor Denise Eldermire-Shearer, Chair, Caribbean Community of Retired Persons (CCRP). McCook, who was honoured for over 40 years of outstanding contribution to sports administration in Jamaica, was one of 62 persons recognised by the CCRP for outstanding work as nation builders. The ceremony took place at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel ballroom on Wednesday, February 8. McCook has served as Chairman of the Gibson Relays Organising Committee for 35 years, 12 years as the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) president and is in his second term as the president of the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletics Association. He is also the Area Representative of the International Association of Athletics Federations.
