DEFENDING champions Jamaica won the toss and opted to take first strike on the opening day of the semi-final match of the regional four-day tournament against Guyana at Sabina Park.

After 12 overs Jamaica are 38-1.

Brenton Parchment is on 19, while his partner Donovan Pagon is on six.

Opener Xavier Marshall was bowled off an under-edge for nine by seamer Ransford Beaton.
