Jamaica cruising towards win over Leewards
BY SANJAY MYERS Observer staff reporter myerss@jamaicaobserver.com

JAMAICA is cruising towards a third straight win in this season's regional four-day tournament after spinners Odean Brown and Nikita Miller pegged back the Leeward Islands to 70-5 at the end of the first session on day three at Sabina Park.
Yesterday the reigning four-day champions declared on 404-8 and dismissed the visitors for 104 to secure a 300-run lead. Jamaica captain Tamar Lambert predictably enforced the follow-on and the Leewards looked short on skill and confidence and lost five wickets before the lunch interval.
Left-hander Kieran Powell batted solidly and is not out on 39.
Miller has taken 2-9, while Brown grabbed 2-10.
