AMID calls for a creative midfielder for the senior Reggae Boyz outfit, head coach Theodore Whitmore has invited Harbour View play-maker Jermaine Hue to train with a 24-man squad ahead of a two-match friendly series against Cuba this month.

Hue, one of the island's most influential midfielder when playing for Harbour View, has always triggered divergent views on his ability due to of his great technical abilities, but poor work rate.

Although the 33-year-old, who is in his third stint with the national team after selections in 2005 and 2009, is considered to be past his best, many believe he is still the best creative option available among local players.

Meanwhile, three overseas- based players will arrive in the island today. Jermaine Taylor and JeVaughn Watson will arrive at 11:40 am and Ryan Johnson at 2:20 pm. Tickets for the two-way encounter which starts on Ash Wednesday at 6:00 pm will go on sale tomorrow at outlets islandwide.

And in light of the economic challenges being faced, the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has reduced ticket prices, with Bleachers tickets at both the National Stadium and the Montego Bay Complex for $500.

The second encounter will be on Friday at 7:30 pm.

The JFF has also expanded the ticket outlets to include the Golf Academy in New Kingston. This was done out of recognition that Ash Wednesday is a public holiday.

The squad broke camp on Friday morning but will resume training on Monday for the encounters against the Cubans.

In 32 matches between the countries, Cuba have won 15, Jamaica nine, while eight have been drawn.
