Star Boy looks to Seven DaysFriday, November 10, 2017
Philadelphia -based Star Boy is currently in the island promoting his debut track called Seven Days .
Speaking with the Jamaica Observer recently, the deejay said that although the track is rapidly gaining momentum in sections of the United States, he saw the need to promote it in the island.
“Promotion in Jamaica is just as or equally important in Jamaica, as this is where some of the toughest music critics are. I really hope that this song will be a chart-topper, so my team and I are putting in a lot of work as it relates to marketing it,” he said.
Star Boy said he also expects the song to hit big because of its inspirational message.
“It is a very inspirational track that encourages its listeners to enjoy life while working hard to acheive their goals. It also speaks about some of my personal struggles and hurdles that I have overcome,” he said.
Seven Days was released on August 26 and produced by Peppa Squad Records while the video was directed by Creative Videos.
Starboy (given name Ivan Bloise) was born in St Ann but migrated to the United States in 2002.
In addition to Seven Days, he is also promoting another track called Seventeen and Beyond. The song is a collaborative effort with King Muziah.
He is also working on his seven-track EP which is slated to be released during the first quarter of next year.
