LAST December, reggae-artiste Jah Vibes released the various artiste compilation titled The Revival via Zojak World Wide. Now his daughter, singer Shaytana, is about to follow in his footsteps.

“My daughter is a very talented singer. I've been grooming her for a career in music from an early age, and I believe she's ready to be in the spotlight now. It's just a matter of time before she becomes a star,” Jah Vibes told the Jamaica Observer's weekly Splash.

Shaytana is preparing to release her debut single Drunk in Love via Papa Z Records. It is produced by Thee Kemist and is expected to be released at the end of the month.

Shaytana (given name Tanashay Show) grew up in Seaforth, St Thomas and is a graduate of St Hugh's High School. Now relocated to Mandeville in Manchester, she is looking forward to a bright future in reggae music.

“From as early as I can remember I've always wanted to be a professional singer. I was in my third year at The University of the West Indies studying psychology. I decided that music is what I really want to do right now. When I told my dad, he was very supportive and understanding,” she explained.

Shaytana is hoping for a great reception for Drunk in Love.

“I'm so excited. I still can't believe that I'm about to drop my first single. This is a great feeling and I can't wait to see how the public will respond to it,” she added.
