Wondering what the brouhaha was last Thursday? Well, the East and South lawns and Formal Gardens of Devon House were the serving platters for the 20th staging of the Jamaica Observer Table Talk Food Awards. The region's greatest culinary experience welcomed thousands of connoisseurs eager to 'Taste It, Eat It, Drink It & Applaud It'.

The intersection between the art of food and the art of business boasted a showing of 69 exhibitors, which had foodies savouring a perfect night of gastronomy.

Doing double duty as a machine of altruism proceeds from the affair afforded scholarships to six third-year students enrolled in the School of Hospitality and Tourism at the University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech), and offered a nifty stipend to a cohort of hospitality students who gained hands-on experience from working at the Caribbean's premier culinary event.

Friday Social has the highlights.
