The roaring '20s were resurrected Sunday last at the Jamaica Railway Corporation in downtown Kingston as the Barry Street-located train station played home to costumed guys and dolls outfitted in newsboy caps, suspenders, drop-waist dresses, and boas.

The occasion: Happiness by Design, a themed event that married the examination of one's state of good mental health (by presenter, transformation psychologist Dr Leahcim Semaj) with useful design pointers on enhancing one's living or working space by way of employing creative measures (by the presenter, interior designer and lifestyle entrepreneur Karen 'Dezign Diva' Booker).

In-between nibbles of gourmet-style canapés from award-winning chef/caterer Oji Jaja, coupled with sips of hot beverages and late-morning libations, the intimate gathering enjoyed the sights of the repurposed train station's lounge area showcasing curated spaces by the Dezign Diva, and later boarded the Diva-styled two-car train for a quick excursion on the rails.
