What is RSS:
RSS (Real Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format for sharing and distributing Web content, such as news headlines. Using an RSS reader, you can view data feeds from various news sources, such as JamaicaObserver.com, including headlines, summaries, and links to full stories. RSS feeds are free and JamaicaObserver.com currently uses RSS 2.0.

 

How do I access RSS:
RSS/News Aggregators (also called Readers) will download and display RSS feeds for you. A number of free and commercial News Aggregators are available for download.

 

Once you have chosen an RSS Reader and downloaded you then:

 

1. Click on the XML link below
2. Copy the URL
3. Paste the URL into your newsreader

RSS is a free service offered by Jamaica Observer for non-commercial use. Any other uses, including without limitation, the incorporation of advertising into or the placement of advertising associated with or targeted towards the RSS Content, are strictly prohibited. You are permitted to use the RSS feeds as provided by Jamaica Observer, however, editing or any form of modification of the text, content or links supplied by Jamaica Observer is strictly prohibited. By agreeing to the terms of use you agree to fully indemnify Jamaica Observer for any legal fees reasonably incurred as a result of your breach of these terms.

 

Link to Content Pages:
The RSS service may only be used with those platforms from which a functional link is made available that, when accessed, takes the viewer directly to the display of the full article on the Jamaica Observer’s Site. You may not display the RSS Content in a manner that does not permit successful linking to, redirection to or delivery of the applicable Jamaica Observer site web page. You may not insert any intermediate page, splash page or other content between the RSS link and the applicable Jamaica Observer Site web page.

 

Ownership/Attribution:

Jamaica Observer reserves the right to discontinue providing any or all of the RSS feeds at any time and to require you to cease displaying, distributing or otherwise using any or all of the RSS feeds for any reason including, without limitation, your violation of any provision of these Terms of Use. Jamaica Observer assumes no liability for any of your activities in connection with the RSS feeds or for your use of the RSS feeds in connection with your website.
