Golden Touch are Westmoreland FA Major League champs

Golden Touch were crowned the mid-season champions of the Westmoreland Football Association’s Charley’s JB Rum/Dujons Construction/Captains Bakery Major League after beating Forever Sports 2-0 in the finals played last week.


O’Brian Gayle and Darren Woolistan scored once in either half for Golden Touch as they took the first trophy on offer for the season.

Gayle scored in the 18th minute, while Woolistan added a second in the 87th minute to put the game out of reach of Forever Sports.

Golden Touch topped Zone 1 with 25 points after the first round, while Forever Sports amassed 19 points to top Zone 2.
