What's your take on the Zone of Special Operations Act?

The recently passed Zone of Special Operations Act, which will allow the security forces special powers to operate in communities where there is rampant criminality, gang warfare, escalating violence, is expected to take effect soon.

Jamaica Observer West photographer Alan Lewin took to the streets of St James — which has accounted for more than 177 murders since the start of the year — earlier this week, to solicit the views of St James residents on the legislation.
