MONTEGO BAY, St James - Reggae Youths and Faulkland FC will meet on Sunday at Jarrett Park in an all-St James showdown in the mid-season final of the Jamaica Football Federation Western Confederation/Charley's JB Rum Super League set to start at 4:00 pm.

Reggae Youths, who warmed up for the bonus final with a 3-0 win over Beaches Negril in their final second round game at Wespow Park on Tuesday, are bidding to be the first back-to- back mid-season champions in a long time after coming from behind to beat eventual champions Sandals South Coast 5-2 last season.

Both teams compiled similar statistics from the first 10 games, topping their respective zones with 23 points from seven wins, two draws and a loss each.

On paper, Faulkland FC who were the beaten semi-finalists last season, have the slightly better scoring and defensive records, scoring 26 goals and conceding five to Reggae Youths' 22 goals scored and 11 conceded.

Interestingly, the teams who only met once last year, will meet twice in a four-day span as they will face off at the same venue on Wednesday when the third round cross zone portion of the fixtures gets underway.

Sunday's game is expected to be competitive between two of the more consistent teams in the competition, and after easily dispatching Beaches Negril on Tuesday, Reggae Youths will be brimming with confidence.

Zemroy McEnnis' fifth minute own goal gifted Reggae Youths the lead, which they held to the half-time break.

Shanoy Anderson then doubled the advantage with his league leading seventh goal in the 58th minute, before Kemo Hoshing made it three in the 61st minute.

If Faulkland FC are to win their first title at this level in their second year in the competition, their defenders will have to pay attention to Anderson who has proven himself at this level over the last season and a half.

The Faulkland FC defence has been almost airtight all season with just five goals allowed in 10 games, and this will be the best defence Reggae Youths will face.

Thirteen players have scored for Faulkland FC this season, Ronaldo McLeish scoring six of their goals, while Radcliff Dawkins and Peter Campbell could also feature in the attack.
