More than 25 employees of Contax360 BPO Solutions were on Saturday recognised for outstanding performance during the company's annual staff party and awards function held at Pier 1 in Montego Bay.

Jacqueline Sutherland, who set up operations in Montego Bay with five workers 10 years ago, commended the employees for their hard work and dedication.

“We have had our ups and downs, but I just want to thank everyone for their dedication and support. We couldn't be where we are today if it wasn't for the team that we have.

“We look forward to the next 10 years, and we have wonderful things in store for the coming year. I think it's going be a great journey for us,” Sutherland told the employees on Saturday night.

According to Ashley Sutherland, Contax360's project manager, who is the daughter of Jacqueline Sutherland, the company, which also has offices in Plantation, Florida, is considering opening other facilities in Mandeville, Portmore and Kingston during the coming year.

This, she told the Jamaica Observer West, could result in the addition of roughly 300 employees, pushing the number of persons the company employs in Jamaica to about 1,000.

Contax360 operates fully equipped facilities, serving a client base of corporations in North America and the Caribbean, delivering customer service, on-line chat, sales and marketing, technical services and collection support to a wide range of industries to include retail, travel and hospitality, telecommunications, health care, streaming video and media marketing.

“The company's repeated success in servicing clients from across the globe has allowed Contax360 to grow to over 900 agents serving blue chip clients in multiple industries,” said the younger Sutherland.

In 2007, the elder Sutherland, a Jamaican-American entrepreneur who spent her professional career working at Fortune 500 companies in the US, opted to pursue her entrepreneurial passion and launched Contax360.

Meanwhile, awards were presented to the employees in the categories of most improved, exceptional attendance, support member of the year, president's award, and team member of the year.

After the awards were handed out, surprise act dancehall artiste Busy Signal delivered an energetic set, much to the delight of the Contax360 staff.
