Sophia Lowe Pinnock (left), corporate communications and public affairs manager at Caribbean Cement Company Limited; and Superintendent of Police Robert Walker (right), officer in charge of the Kingston East Division, congratulate Kemari Wint (second left), champion speller in the under-12 division, and Tiffany Smith, champion speller in the under-16 division, at the inaugural Greater Brown's Town Spelling Bee Competition — an initiative of the company and the police geared at bringing unity to a community divided by crime and violence — on Monday. More than 30 students participated in six weeks of training that culminated with the competition on Heroe's Day at the Vauxhall High School Auditorium in Kingston.
