Youth Ministry official shot dead in Spanish Town

KINGSTON, Jamaica - A director in the Ministry of Youth and Culture was gunned down at his gate in St Catherine yesterday.

Police reports are that Sean Thompson, 45, was at his home in Angels Estate, Spanish Town when he was approached men by in a silver car. The men immediately opened fire.

Thompson, who was the Director of Corporate Services at the ministry, was hit multiple times. He died on the spot.

The police were summoned, the scene processed and the body moved to the morgue.

Investigations are underway.
