Water woes in St Thomas and Clarendon

NATIONAL Water Commission (NWC) customers in sections of St Thomas who are served by the Prospect Deep Well are being advised that the disruption they are currently experiencing in their water supply is due to mechanical problems at the facility. The well has therefore been taken out of operation to carry out the necessary repair work.

Affected areas include:

Lyssons, Prospect, Leith Hall, Blue Mahoe, Retreat, Industry Hill, Beckford Town and Johns Town.

The NWC says trucked water will be provided to the affected areas.

Customers served by the Bushy Park Well in Clarendon are also being advised that the disruption they are having in their service is due electrical problems at the facility.

The system is currently out of operation for repairs and every effort is being made to restore service by 6:00 pm today.

Affected areas include:

  • Bucknor;

  • Bailey’s Avenue;

  • Rectory Land;

  • Rectory Road;

  • Chapelton Road;

  • Bushy Park Housing Scheme;

  • Bucks Haven Drive;

  • Bell Drive;

  • North Street;

  • Howard Avenue;

  • West Park;

  • Harris Street;

  • Manchester Avenue;

  • Threadlight;

  • Western Park;

  • Evans Heights;

  • Meadowlands and all roads leading off.
