Water Mount mourns murder of elderly woman

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The rustic farming village of Water Mount in St Catherine has been torn apart by last night's murder of an elderly woman and the shooting of her six-year-old grandson.?The dead woman has been identified as 62-year-old Panzie Morgan.?

Residents of the community told the Jamaica Observer that minutes after 8:00pm Morgan's daughter returned from a nearby shop to find her mother's body sprawled out in a pool of blood.?The woman's six-year-old son was also found inside the house suffering from gunshot wounds.?

"The whole community is badly shaken up over the incident. Miss Panzie was loved by all," one woman said.
