KINGSTON, Jamaica — Police collared two men, one of whom is suspected of involvement in the murder of 26-year-old Corporal Warren Campbell, in St Catherine yesterday.

Campbell was gunned down while walking with a female companion on Patrick Drive in Patrick City, St Andrew about 9:00 PM Thursday night.

Police report that a man alighted from a motor vehicle and shot the cop all over his body before speeding off. Campbell was shot seven times and died while undergoing treatment at hospital.

He is the first policeman to be killed this year.

An average of 12 cops are killed each year in Jamaica although no cop was murdered last year.
