New NWA CEO soon

A new Chief Executive Officer for the National Works Agency (NWA) is expected to be in place in short order.
Transport and Works Minister Dr Omar Davies in a statement to Parliament today said the response from qualified persons for the post, which became vacant in the final quarter of 2011, was "overwhelming".
He said the selection process will be completed by the Office of the Services Commission and the Public Services Commission
Former NWA CEO Patrick Wong was given his walking papers after a report by the Auditor General last year uncovered a number of discrepancies in the handling of the US$ 400 million Jamaica Development Infrastructure Project
