Motorist, passenger arrested for firearm in car

KINGSTON, Jamaica - A driver and his female passenger were taken into custody for a firearm seizure in St Andrew yesterday afternoon.
According to the police the driver of a Toyota motor car was signalled to stop during an operation along Maxfield Avenue, Kingston 13 around 5:15pm.
During a search of the vehicle a .45 semi-automatic pistol with the serial number erased was found. Three .45 cartridges were also seized.
The identities of the two have not been released pending further investigations.
