May Pen bridge to be closed Wednesday

THE May Pen Rail Bridge, located along Main Street in Clarendon, will be temporarily closed between 6:00 am and 7:00 pm on Wednesday.
This is to facilitate repairs to structural defects on the bridge.
Motorists travelling from the direction of Mineral’s Heights, Clarendon Park or Palmer’s Cross towards the town centre should use the alternative route through the Bustamante Highway, Glenmuir Road, Anderson Drive then onto Manchester or Sharpe Avenues.
The reverse obtains for motorists travelling from the town centre in the direction of Mineral’s Heights, Clarendon Park or Palmer’s Cross.
The National Works Agency is warning all motorists and pedestrians to obey all posted warning signs and the instructions of flag persons while work is in progress.
