Man killed in car crash

THIRTY-NINE-YEAR-OLD Winston McDonald, otherwise called Aldene Gooden, of Homestead and Waterford addresses in St Catherine, was killed in a motor vehicle crash along the Mandela Highway in the parish this morning. Two other persons were also injured.

Reports from the Hunts Bay Police are that about 5:45 am, McDonald was driving his Toyota Corolla motor car along the roadway, when on reaching the vicinity of the Duhaney River, he reportedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a utility pole and a road barrier. He was flung from the vehicle and was found several feet away. He died on the spot.

The two passengers have been admitted in hospital in serious condition.

The scene was processed by members of the Accident Investigation and Reconstruction Unit (AIRU).

The Hunts Bay Police are investigating.
