Man charged after teacher succumbs to car crash injury

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Twenty-six-year-old Shane Miller, businessman of Morningside Drive in Havendale, has been charged with manslaughter following a motor vehicle crash yesterday that claimed the life of a woman.
Police report that at about 5:30pm yesterday, Miller was driving his Toyota Altezza motorcar along the Melrose Hill main road in Manchester when he collided with a Toyota Corolla motorcar.
The driver of the Corolla, 44-year-old Novia Reid, a teacher of Hillside district in Knockpatrick, Manchester later succumbed to her injuries at hospital
Miller also sustained injuries and was charged following his release from hospital.
He is to answer the charge in the Mandeville Resident Magistrate's Court tomorrow.
