Saturday, December 22, 2012 | 9:34 AM

KINGSTON, Jamaica - A man involved in a case surrounding the disappearance of a SUV from the Office of the Police Commissioner is scheduled to return to court on January 10 next year.

The accused, Jermaine Dixon, of a Harbour View address, was recently found in possession of Toyota Harrier Sports Utility Vehicle, which should have been in the custody of the police.

Interestingly, Dixon was convicted on November 27, 2007 for the theft of the said motor vehicle, the court heard.

The SUV was reportedly discovered missing following an inventory at the Commissioner’s office.

Later, in June of this year, it was reported that the police stopped the vehicle on Red Hills Road, Kingston 19, and Dixon found to be the driver.

He was arrested and slapped with charges of simple larceny; larceny of motor vehicle; receiving stolen property; possession of criminal property, conspiracy to commit larceny; three counts of forgery and three counts of possession of forged documents.

On Thursday when the matter was mentioned Dixon was remanded into custody.
