KINGSTON, Jamaica - Hosts Jamaica took the Group B honours in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Under-20 World Cup qualifiers after playing to a 0-0 draw with Cuba at the Stadium East Saturday.

Both teams had already qualified to the CONCACAF round and were playing for the top position.

The Jamaicans went down to ten men when Kareem Manning was ejected in the 58th minute after a second bookable offence.

It was a listless, defensive affair.
The young Reggae Boyz failed to impress in their two outings and despite wanting to close the tournament on a high, again failed to deliver.

Jamaica had a chance to go ahead in the 85th minute but Mark Brown’s free kick sliced the outside of the upright and failed to change the score sheet.

Jamaica and the Cubans both ended with maximum points from their three encounters securing their place in the CONCACAF final round, set for Mexico in February.

"We're happy for the qualification…first place was our target," said Boyz coach Luciano Gama.

Cuba's Raul Gonzales speaking through an interpreter said that the Cubans were not too disappointed to not top the group adding that it was an interesting game.

In the opening game of the afternoon Antigua beat Suriname 3-1 with goals in the 48th, 50th, and 58th minutes.
Suriname's consolation came through a sixth minute penalty.

Meanwhile in Group A, Haiti qualified for their first CONCACAF final since 2007 after they played to a 1-1 draw with Puerto Rico in their final game on Friday.
In the other match Curacao beat Trinidad 1-0.

A coin toss was needed to decide that Curacao advance as the fifth team from CFU after they ended the group tied on points and goal difference with Antigua.
The top two teams in both groups along with the best third-placed team advance to the CONCACAF Championship in February.

Jamaica last qualified for a men's Under-20 World Cup in the Argentina edition back in 2001.

The FIFA Under-20 Youth World Cup will be held in Turkey from June 21 to July 13, next year
