KINGSTON, Jamaica - A Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) pilot Friday night escaped serious injury after he was forced to make an emergency landing in Guys Hill, St Catherine.

Reports from highly placed JDF sources are that the pilot took a decision to land the helicopter after he heard strange sounds coming from the vehicle.
The JDF source did not release the name of the pilot.

Late last night the sight of the disabled helicopter being transported by a joint police/military team left scores of onlookers speculating that the helicopter had crashed.

"I was making my way across Flat Bridge and became suspicious after I saw large group of police and military personnel in the area," one motorist commented.
However, rumours of a crash were quickly dismissed by JDF sources.
