INDECOM opens satellite centre in St Thomas
Jamaica Observer
Monday, February 20, 2012
THE Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) has opened a satellite centre in Morant Bay, St Thomas.
The centre will make it easier for residents of St Thomas to make formal complaints, instead instead of visiting the nearest INDECOM office in Kingston.
This is the first of several Satellite Centres to be opened and operated island wide in the coming months.
The Satellite Centre will be opened on Fridays only from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm
The key was handed over to Commissioner of INDECOM, Terrence Williams on Sunday at the Coke Methodist Church in Morant Bay by Reverend Michael Graham during a church service.
The church gave the Commission office space to be used by investigators to take complaints from residents in that parish at no cost to INDECOM.
INDECOM currently has three offices in operation; the head office is located in Kingston. The other offices are located in Mandeville and St James.
