Gunmen kill four in Westmoreland

WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — Four men were shot dead at a bar and cook shop in Bath district, Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland last night.

The men, who all reside in the community, have been identified as 23-year-old Timothy Bernard otherwise called ‘Tim’, 19-year-old Demario McIntosh, 68-year-old Glendon Nannan, and 54-year-old Carl Banhan, otherwise called ‘Calla’

According to police reports, the deceased were among a group of people about 9:00 pm when two motorcycles drove up with pillion passengers. The passengers reportedly disembarked the motorcycles and opened gunfire at the group. 

The four men were shot multiple times and were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.

The police are asking anyone, who may have witnessed the incident or have any information that may be pertinent to their investigations, to contact the Savanna-la-Mar police at 955-2536, police 119 emergency number, Crime Stop at 311 or the nearest police station.
