Gun, ammo seized in Kingston

THE Elleston Road Police seized a firearm and ammunition on Norman Road, Kingston 16 this morning.

Information received is that about 4:45 am, a team of officers was on patrol, when they saw a man acting suspiciously. On seeing the police the man fled, threw an object in a nearby gully, and managed to escape.

A subsequent search of the area was carried out and a .38 revolver with one live round and a spent shell were found.

Investigations continue.
