Don't buy colognes on the street, police warn

KINGSTON, Jamaica - The police are advising members of the public to be very careful when purchasing cologne and perfumes from street-side peddlers.

This warning from the cops come against the background of information received that unscrupulous people pretending to be selling perfumes and are asking interested parties to smell paper or other paraphernalia laced with drugs.

This allows the perpetrators to rob and commit other crimes against incapacitated would be customers.

The police are asking anyone who has been a victim of, or has seen this crime take place is being asked to contact Crime Stop at 311 or 811, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
