KINGSTON, Jamaica – Police from various divisions are this morning pouring in to the offices of the Organised Crime Investigative Division (OCID) to extend support to colleagues who last night lost one of their own to gunmen.

Police report is that the detective corporal Warren Campbell was shot and killed by a gunman near his home in Patrick City, Kingston 20 close to 9:00pm.

The OCID detective was shot seven times.

"He was a very hard working, honest and dedicated policeman," said a grieving OCID boss Fitz Bailey who expressed shock at the news.

"He was a policeman who operated with integrity," Bailey added.

The OCID boss made the comment at the OCID offices where colleagues of the slain officers were being offered counselling and support.

"He was my friend I am not from this Division but I just came here to give my support," another grieving officer commented.
