Car crashes in Half-Way-Tree police chase

KINGSTON, Jamaica - There was chaos in Half-Way-Tree this afternoon when a grey motor car with a group of men aboard crashed in the middle of the busy intersection near the parish clock.
A woman claiming to be an eyewitness said that at about 6:15pm the men were travelling at a high speed along Constant Spring Road with the police in hot pursuit.
"I was at the NCB bank conducting business when all of a sudden I saw a grey Honda car with a group of men break the stop light and crash in another vehicle," she said.
The frightened female said she saw two of the men running out of the vehicle leaving the damaged car with the driver pinned inside.
The reason behind the men’s flight from the police is not known.
Meanwhile, the head of the St Andrew Central Police Division, Fitz Bailey has launched a probe into the incident.
