Boyfriend of slain St Thomas teen remanded

ST THOMAS, Jamaica — The man accused of the murder of 19-year-old Tashoy Barrett was today remanded when he appeared in the Morant Bay Parish Court.

The accused, 29-year-old Odaine Keyes, who was Barrett’s boyfriend, is to return to court on February 15.

Barrett, a HEART Trust/NTA student, was found in a pool of blood with her throat slashed at Keyes’ house in Grayston in St Thomas, on December 26.

It is believed that she was killed from the night before.
