Body of elderly woman found buried along Palisadoes road
Friday, December 21, 2012 | 9:42 AM
KINGSTON, Jamaica -The bound and decomposing body of an elderly woman was found in east Kingston yesterday.
Reports are that the body of Jacqueline Johnson, 68, was found in a shallow grave along the Palisadoes main road at about 9:00am.
Police say residents reported seeing a hand protruding from the ground which prompted them to contact the Elletson Road Criminal Investigative Branch (CIB).
The CIB responded and the body was discovered with hands bound. It was exhumed and later moved to the morgue for post-mortem.
It was later identified as that of Johnson, from Grafton Road, Vineyard Town in Kingston 3, who was reported missing on December 19.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Elletson Road Police at 928-4200, Crime Stop at 311, 119 or the nearest police station.
Investigations are underway.
