Body found in Kingston Harbour

KINGSTON, Jamaica - The body of an unidentified man was fished from the Kingston Harbour this morning.

It is of dark complexion, stout build, about 5-feet-9-inches long and was clad in brown pants, a long-sleeved jeans shirt and a pair of black slippers. It is believed that the man was in his sixties.

Reports from the City Centre Police are that about 6:00am passersby saw the body floating in the water and summoned the police. The body was subsequently removed and taken to the morgue to await post-mortem.

Detectives are now appealing for the public’s assistance in identifying the body. Anyone with information may contact the City Centre Police at 922-9335, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
